You will find the term Giclee used next to most pieces on this site. A Giclee (pronounced zhee-klay) is a high-end upscale fine art reproduction. Each giclee is custom created, one-at-a-time as it is acquired by a collector. A Canvas Giclee is printed on canvas to give the look and feel of the original painting, stretched on heavy duty stretcher bars and then gallery wrapped, meaning the image wraps around the sides of the paintings and can be hung without a frame. A Metal Giclee is a beautiful alternative to canvas and showcases the colors in the art wonderfully. The process involves using a die-sublimation process in which the inks are transferred and then heated onto a special type of metal that locks in the color, gloss and vibrancy. This is a great option for areas with a lot of sun as these pieces are very UV resistant. A Wood (Birch or Bamboo) Giclee is another alternative that works great with much of the art on our website. We offer it already priced with the pieces we think it pairs well with but also have the ability to print any of the art you see on either type of wood.
